On the Settlement Date, adjustments are made for the local council rates that have been paid on the property for that period.  The amount adjusted will vary depending on the local council involved, the amount of the rates, when settlement occurs, etc.

Adjustments may also be made for water usuage.  Again this depends on the nature of the property, the local council involved, etc.

There may be other adjustments required depending on the nature of the property.
